When starting BuildLab Homes, Matt chose to build a small team of highly trained industry professionals. Together, Matt and the team only take on one to two clients at a time This allows them to focus their energy on crafting luxurious statement-making spaces without the headaches.
Matt makes a point to be heavily involved in every part of the architectural home building process, from the idea stage all the way to completion. Each and every client that comes to BuildLab can count on Matt to guide them through their home build, ensuring that they know exactly what is going on each step of the way. Matt also believes in only employing the best subcontractors in the industry. Each subcontractor has not only been thoroughly vetted by Matt; he’s also worked to build a strong relationship with every one of them.

Matt.
MANAGING DIRECTOR
Before starting BuildLab Homes, Matt Frost spent 10 years working for a top architectural home builder in Tauranga. Matt started as an entry-level apprentice builder, winning Apprentice of the Year for the Waikato and Bay of Plenty regions.
Over time, Matt worked his way up, eventually moving into the role of Project Manager. Matt stayed in this role for a few years, gaining recognition for his eye for detail and achieving gold/National award-winning homes. Matt brings this extensive experience into Buildlab Homes.
Keiran.
QUALIFIED TRADESMAN
Kieran has been building for the last 8-9 years on and off. He dove straight into his apprenticeship once school was up and is now a qualified tradesman.
Kieran is an absolute legend to work with and true asset to Buildlab. He is the definition of a natural carpenter.
